WEST BAY WEEKEND - 10K CHALLENGE AND POKER RUN A-X CHASE BOAT

WEST BAY 10KM CHASE BOAT RACE AND POKER RUN
Race Details
In 2021 and the first time in OMRAs 50 year history of running Chase boat events a fixed distance was introduced. With the intention to add a new dimension to chase boat racing. Allowing national and international class records to be set, a challenge of beating times, and also competition between racers from one day to the next.
For the Saturday we will be introducing a POKER RUN, for some extra fun. To emulate the powerboat events that take place in Miami and California. Each boat that makes it round the course shall be given 3 x playing cards, for passing each checkpoint as 3 card Poker. Best hand wins a special prize.
Saturday 17th June
7am - Launch Chase boats (Course Pre-Set)
8:30am - Drivers Meeting
9am - A-X First Runs
Sunday 18th June
7am - Launch Chase Boats (Course pre-set)
8:30am - Drivers Meeting
9am - A-X 10k Challenge
We have records set in 2021, could you beat it in 2023? We had extremely good conditions in 2021, a decision will be taken based on whether to either go for the 10k or a circuit course.
