COWES IOW A-X SHOOTOUT RACE AND HEAT 1

Supported by RED FUNNEL and endorsed by the BPRC
OMRA return to Cowes for 2019 for Rounds 10 and 11 of the UK championship. This premier venue sees the race hosted the same weekend as the BPRC Cowes - Torquay powerboat race. If you are into Offshore Racing, do not miss this weekend!
Saturday - SHOOTOUT and Heat 1 Endurance.
Sunday - CIRCUIT Heats 2 and 3
For those unfamiliar with the Shootout format. This is fastest lap, similar to F1 qualifying. Each class has 5 minutes on the water as free practice, then immediately hot lap will be activated on the timing system. Then its a 3 minute session for the fastest lap. All boats in class on the water at once. Fast paced and action packed.

11am - A-X Shootout
12noon - Lunch (note a promo event may take place)
2:30pm - A-X Heat 1 Circuit Race

9:30am -10:15am - Send off for Cowes-Torquay Main Event

12:30pm - Lunch

TRAVELLING TO COWES
Ferry Crossing
OMRA Cowes 2019 is supported by Red Funnel. As this is bank holiday weekend we encourage early booking for crossing and accomadation. A 20% discount for cars on Red Funnel is applicable for racers. Please send vehicle registration on entry for the discount Code.
Parking
There is plenty of Parking available on the parade next to the race location at Trinity Landing. OMRA has 7 spaces reserved for Sat/Sun, they are free for OMRA members.
Toilets
Public toilets are less than 70m from the race location

Saturday Low Tide 10:43am - 1.70m
Sunday Low Tide 12:05pm - 1.90m
Note: 1.7-1.9m is not low enough to effect racing. High tide height is 3.7m. Cowes usually differs by 4m between high and low tides.
